An Artist Tells It Like It Is About Women’s Struggles (20New Pics)

If you’ve read the title, you’re undoubtedly aware of what you agreed to when you clicked on this… But if you don’t believe us, let us tell you a little more! Today we’d like to introduce you to Bella Sriwantana, a Belgian comic artist with a lot of ability. Bella is well-known for her cartoons, which reflect real-life scenarios and a typical day in the life of a little girl. Despite the fact that Sriwantana is basing the comics on herself, we’re pretty sure most of us have found ourselves in similar situations.

Bella’s comics are bright, funny, and unique in terms of visual style and approach. The artist also discusses recent memes, dogs, what it’s like to have a boyfriend, and how difficult and exhausting it can be to be a woman at times.

Being an artist is difficult; one can quickly experience a lack of inspiration, exhaustion, and other issues, therefore we wanted to ask Bella about her comics ideas.

“Anything that occurs in my life can be depicted in a comic. I’d sort and draw these real-life situations according to what I think people may relate to the most.”

As previously stated, creative activity may sometimes lead to burnout, therefore we inquired as to how the artist dealt with this as well.

“Absolutely! There will be days when I don’t feel like drawing at all or when my imagination fails me. To drink up my ideas, I would go for a walk with my dog or take a long shower, and guess what? They’re effective!”

Curiosity, the pursuit for beauty, and even purpose are all powerful motivators for artists. As a result, we asked Sriwantana about it as well.

“Many artists influenced and shaped my childhood, and I hold them in high regard. I used to be (and still am) that girl who relied on art for solace. I’d like to do something similar for someone else. ‘Perhaps someone is having a bad day, and when they see my work, their day becomes a little better!’ I like to imagine.

Every comic I make also represents the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I’m eager to share this tale with my followers and help them expand this wonderful community!”
